Our team has worked with a variety of retail outlets, reception areas, commercial entrances and shopping centres over the years, as part of shop upgrades, renovations or changes to business management.
The most stylish, chic and freshest look of all shopfronts is the full glass, frameless, toughened glass for most shopfronts. Toughened glass is produced by applying a special treatment to ordinary float glass after it has been cut to size and finished.
The treatment involves heating the glass so that it begins to soften and then rapidly cooling it.
The overall finish is superb, full height glazing, a frameless full glass door, stainless steel patch fittings and decorative door handles.
Without the aluminium profile being present within the main area of the shopfront, the full glass look combines glamour and impact beautifully.

The AS 1288–2021, Glass in Buildings – Selection and Installation is the Australian Standard that provides procedures for selecting and installing glass in buildings to ensure safety, particularly under conditions like wind loading and human impact. Cairns Local Glass glaziers work to these standards when working with glass in commercial buildings.
Using these standards in installation helps building owners meet their legal obligations by providing a comprehensive survey service which inspects and documents every glazing element in the premises and enables any necessary upgrade work to be completed. This also allows future reactive glass repairs and replacement work to be completed quicker with minimal disruption.
